Here is my first attempt at creating a book about RuneScape. It is less detailed than the one I am currently working on, but I felt it should just be an example to set the stage for more to come.
-For the girl that helped me when i was new to runescape, if I could only remember her name...
Rorek charged the red dragon with a fiery determination and his dragon longsword. It hastily launched a fireball at him as a desperate attempt to survive his barrage of deadly swordplay. Brushing away the fiery projectile, Rorek ran straight toward the dragon and slid under its outstretched wing. Confused, the dragon tried to find where it's attacker had gone. While the dragon was disoriented, Rorek sheathed his sword. He hastily yanked his dragon dagger from his boot. He speedily slashed one of the crucial muscles for dragon flight. The dragon uttered an agonized roar in protest. The dragon was incapacitated, Rorek marveled at the gleaming scales rippling down the dragon's spine. Rorek pried the largest one from the dragon's back. Another agonized roar escaped the dragon's spiky jaw. Replacing his dagger, Rorek summoned the magic from the runes in his pack. Letting himself be engulfed in the familiar purple energy, Rorek formed the energy into an orb. Immediately there was a flash of blinding light. When the light cleared, he recognized the welcoming sight of The Varrok Fountain looming ahead of him. As Rorek dropped the orb, a wave of sound overcame him. The shouting of merchants and adventurers was everywhere. Rorek made his way through the ocean of people to the Varrok West Bank. Rorek went to a booth to deposit his scale and spotted his favorite banker. They warmly exchanged greetings and Rorek handed him the dragon scale. Rorek set off for Ardougne, to settle some unfinished business. He was just passing the gates into Taverly, when an extremely flustered gnome approached him.
"They're coming!!! They're coming!!!!!" cried the gnome frantically.
"Who's coming? Explain yourself!" yelled Rorek, matching the gnome's volume.
"The Kalphite Queen and The King Black Dragon!!" screamed the gnome, "King Shareen sent me to request help!"
"What?!?!?!" roared Rorek, "Why couldn't they have attacked the ogres instead..." he muttered.
Rorek telepathically contacted The Mage Gower, head of the wizard's guild in yanille.
"We have an urgent dilemma! The Kalphite Queen and The King Black Dragon are coming to destroy the Tree Gnome Stronghold! Send all the mages who have any fighting experience as soon as possible!!" Rorek severed the mental link before Mage Gower had a chance to respond. Rorek thanked the gnome and warned the dwarves, Lathas' Elite Warriors, and his own small clan of warriors in a similar fashion. Then he himself went to the Gnome Stronghold to await the attack of the mightiest beings of Geilinor. When Rorek arrived at the Stronghold, Glough informed him that a scout had been sent ahead to see if it the two beasts were attacking alone. If it wasn't, only Saradomin knows the outcome of this battle. When the scout came back his face was white as a sheet, and he looked like he had seen Zaros himself. "Report your observation!" barked Rorek. A steady stream of curses spoken in the old gnomish language flowed from the scout's mouth.
"They're not alone, a saw a fleet of dragons flying behind them!"
Panic enveloped the warriors.
"Don't worry! I have a plan!" yelled Rorek attempting to calm the frightened warriors. Everyone crowded around Rorek to hear. "The gnome rangers could shoot down the dragons. My best rangers will assist you." Somewhere in the crowd a cheer came up from a group of gnomes.
"I'm not done yet....." scowled Rorek, " Don't aim to kill, just incapacitate their ability to fly. The dragons are to valuable to Gielinor to kill. Lathas' Elite Warriors, you attempt to ambush the King Black Dragon from behind. We'll split the mages into three sections, one section entangle the dragons after my rangers and the gnomes finish arching. The next two groups will charge Fire Waves (or fire blasts if your not strong enough) and cast them at the Kalphite Queen, and the same with the King Black Dragon. I'll lead the remaining members of my clan, and the dwarves, into an all out full frontal assault."
The dwarves grinned at Rorek's plan. Everyone cheered in approval and even a few scattered battle cries could be heard from the battalion of warriors. The two great beasts arrived at sunrise the following morning leaving a billowing cloud of dirt and dust in their wake. They were closely shadowed by the foreboding fleet of incoming dragons. It was a long and brutal battle. The mages and gnomes proved capable of handling the dragons. The dwarves however, were unfortunately not as lucky. The Kaphite Queen overpowered them and the entire dwarven population dwindled dangerously that day. The Mage Gower was able to mass teleport the remaining colony of dwarves back to the welcoming mines of Keldagrim, the massive dwarven city. With the great assistance of the Senior Mages, Rorek and his clan were able to slay the Kalphite Queen. But the wretched beast took five of Rorek's friends with it to the grave. A similar fate befell the unfortunate soldiers of Lathas' Elite Warriors. Some of the men made an attempt for escape, but the attentive Dragon quickly slew the scattering warriors. Rorek and The Mage Gower delivered the final death blow to the King Black Dragon with Dharok's mighty Great Axe. Finally the bloody war was over, and the gnomes could live in peace once more. Rorek gave an honorable burial to the brave heroes that were slain that day. Astonishingly none of the mages knew a healing spell for dragons. The Mage Gower and our hero Rorek mass healed the injured dragons. They were free to go back to the lives they had before the two mighty beasts controlled them. Gower congratulated, and graciously thanked the surviving battalion of warriors for facing down such a battle. He then took Rorek as his apprentice and taught him highly advanced spells and incantations for various eventualities. As they entered the large double doors, Sedridor, the head mage of the famous Wizard's Tower, and Mage Gower's colleague, congratulated him. After being rewarded with a generous amount of powerful runes, Rorek set off for Ardougne, to settle some unfinished business...

Note: The Kalphite Queen mentioned in the story is a gigantic spider.
